Week 11 of the NFL season is in the books with many great games like the Sunday Night Football game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Chargers where the Bengals almost came back but still came up short, a battle between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills where the Bills gave the Chiefs their first loss of the season, and a beat down where the Detroit Lions beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 6-52. Now lets review the worst and the best performances of the week.

The Worst

At number three is Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson who had a very poor game in the 6-38 loss the the Denver Broncos.

Robinson had 12 rushing attempts for 35 yards, 2.9 yards per carry and 0 touchdowns. This was not a very helpful performance while their quarterback Kirk Cousins was also struggling, and could also be a big part of the reason why they lost.

In all fairness to Robinson, the Broncos defense has been elite in every area this season, shutting down teams passing and running games all year long, so for Robinson to have done super well would’ve been high hopes but Falcons fans would’ve liked him to have done a little better.

At number two is Dallas Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle who played a very poor game against the Houston Texans in the 34-10 loss.

Dowdle had 10 rushing attempts for 28 yards, 2.8 yards per attempt and 0 touchdowns, one of his worst games of the season even for the Cowboys not having a good run game at all this season.

In all fairness to Dowdle, the Cowboys had QB Cooper Rush throw the ball 55 times taking away from any running game, but the Texans have also had a very good defensive line this year.

At number one is Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. who was not the only person playing poorly as the Jaguars lost to the Detroit Lions 6-52.

Etienne had 12 rushing attempts for 27 yards, 2.2 yards per carry and 0 touchdowns. This performance was very unhelpful in at least making the game seem not as bad.

In all fairness to Etienne, the Lions are no joke this year and have been the best team in the league so far, even without edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson they have still had a very good defensive line, and the Jaguars would’ve needed to be clicking on all cylinders for Etienne to really do well.

The Best

At number three is Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford, who had a great game in the 28-22 win over the New England Patriots.

Stafford completed 18 passes on 27 attempts for 295 yards, 10.9 yards per attempt, 4 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. An all around great game from him and he can thank his two wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua for making things easy.

Stafford and the Rams started the season slow especially during the time frame that both Kupp and Nacua were injured and out for multiple weeks, but in the past few weeks they have been playing great and still have a good chance at making playoffs, especially with how close their division is.

At number two is Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon, who has been great all season and continued to play very well against the Dallas Cowboys poor rushing defense.

Mixon had 20 rushing attempts for 109 yards, 5.5 yards per carry and 3 touchdowns. A great performance from him, and he was a big reason why the Texans beat the Cowboys by as much as they did.

Mixon has been a great addition for the Texans this year and is currently having one of his best seasons outside of the few weeks he was injured for, the Texans have to be very happy with how much he has helped the team this year.

At number one is Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff, who lit up the Jaguars defense and showed no mercy at all.

Goff completed 24 passes on 29 attempts for 412 yards, 14.2 yards per attempt, 4 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. One of his best games so far this year and it showed not just on the stat sheet, but also on the scoreboard.

Goff has now thrown for over 400 yards, 4 touchdowns, and a perfect 158.3 passer rating twice in his career, which is a huge milestone because that has only been accomplished 7 times in NFL history. This is a historic season for the Lions, and it is looking highly likely it could be even more historic with their first ever Super Bowl win.

Looking Forward to Week 12

Week 12 kicks off with Thursday Night Football where the Cleveland Browns are hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers, a game that many expect the Steelers to win but could easily be a trap game that they’ll lose. Sunday will feature many great games but will cap off with what should be a great Sunday Night Football game as the Philadelphia Eagles travel to Los Angeles to take on the Rams. The week will close out on Monday Night Football with an exciting game also in Los Angeles, where the Chargers will host the Baltimore Ravens.
